I am a student, mother, environmentalist, professional, and a creative. These are the core components that help inspire my drive to be a person of balance.
I have creative needs and I strive for happiness. I want to be able to see the beauty and humor in all situations life hands me; to see how struggle and adversity can shape my growth. These goals are not met without taking time for reflection; and, art is my process. The beautiful, humorous and strange inspire me. Life has taught me humor; my mistakes have kept me humble.
I am responsible for the environment I live in, the animals within it, and humanity at all levels. My first duty is to my family; especially, my two daughters. I understand that I cannot meet these expectations unless my needs are also addressed and I can continue doing what I love, for those I love. These truths inspire me to create.
As a creative, I refuse to limit myself to a single discipline. I am not one thing and neither is my work. I take pride in what I produce, knowing I have the skills to realize my ideas and designs in different mediums. Those mediums include, but are not limited to, photography, graphic design, serigraphy, painting and illustration.
Creating is key to my happiness. Understanding this has resulted in success.
I will never stop creating.
